Lancom portable gas analyser drops a hint on toughness
The leading portable gas analyser - Lancom III - has always enjoyed a reputation for outstanding measurement performance and high flexibility in its range of options.
OOPs!!!
What has always been known, but probably never appreciated is the toughness of the analyser. Part of the everyday life of a portable analyser is being dropped and bumped around as it performs measurements around the plant. To prove just how tough the Lancom III really is, we captured the moment it was dropped and stood upon, on film.

Our confidence in the product was not misplaced, as you will see if you view our

Tough tool for a tough job
If you are thinking about buying a new portable gas analyser and know it will have a hard life, then take a look. If you want an analyser that is going to withstand a fews bumps and knocks; and not spend half of its life being repaired..think Lancom III....a tough tool for a tough job !
The Lancom III portable gas analyzer is capable of of a wide range of gas measurements. The analyser can calculate combustion efficiency, loss, excess air, CO2, total NOx and can provide measurement corrections such as oxygen normalisation, wet or dry analysis and automatic reading conversions. Features such as data logging, serial communications and an integral printer come as standard.

TÜV Testing affirms portable gas analyser performance
The leading portable gas analyser - Lancom III - has always enjoyed a reputation for outstanding measurement performance and high flexibility in its range of options.
Independent testing is the best way to prove the performance. The Lancom III was put to the test by TÜV Rheinland in Germany. Tests were carried out on the Lancom's measurement capability of CO, O2, NO, NO2 and SO2.
The test parameters included measurement linearity, accuracy, response time, detection limits, short time and temperature drift.
Overall the performance of the analyser either met or often exceeded the published specification; notably, the linearity, accuracy and detection limits that were found to be less than 1% of the measuring range.
The results of these tests confirmed the reputation of the Lancom III, as one of the world's leading portable gas analysers.
The Lancom III portable gas analyser is capable of measurement of CO low, CO high, O2, NO, NO2, NOx, SO2, H2S, CO2 and Hydrocarbons. In addition the analyser can calculate combustion efficiency, loss, excess air, CO2, total NOx and can provide measurement corrections such as oxygen normalisation, wet or dry analysis and automatic reading conversions.
Features such as data logging, serial communications and an integral printer come as standard.
The Lancom III meets US EPA CTM 034 reference method, for report generation to recognized standards; in addition it carries full ETV approval.

Lancom resolves to improve gas analyser performance
The leading portable gas analyser - Lancom III - has further enhanced performance with measurement readings now to 0.1 ppm resolution.
This latest accolade follows a series of continuous product improvements that have seen the introduction of DrySampler Probe 'the revolutionary new portable sample probe for accurate SO2 and NOx measurement' which had performance independently verified by the National Physical Laboratory (NPL).
Insight data acquisition and analysis software, which is specifically designed for with the Lancom III analyser; allows data capture, storage, analysis and presentation of measurement information in a simple WindowsT based program, which runs on any PC or laptop computer - the ideal reporting tool.

4500 Premier Dust Monitor lives up to it’s name
The Model 4500 Premier dust monitor surpassed the competition as the choice for a leading cement manufacturer in Northern Ireland. The application involved monitoring dust levels from a rotary kiln, which were typically between 20 and 60 mg/m3. These low levels are ideally suited to the 4500 Premier, with outstanding performance at levels as low as 15 mg/m3. The 4500 Premier boasts both UK MCerts and German TÜV approval.
The cement plant was forced to remove their existing dust monitor for two main reasons: it did not have MCerts approval, and it failed to perform in-line with the gravimetric calibration. The Model 4500 Premier was chosen as the replacement.
The most important aspect of the 4500 Premier aside from the outstanding measurement performance – is the ability (due to its wide measurement range from 0 – 15 mg/m3 up to 3000 mg/m3) to cover all the possible measurement outputs from the cement kiln with just a single instrument. Having a single instrument on plant, keeps operator and maintenance costs to a minimum.
The LAND Model 4500 Premier dust emissions monitor has MCerts approval for Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMs) by the UK Environment Agency. The 4500 Premier now carries all major international approvals including those from TÜV (Germany), meets USA EPA standards including CPS-001, 40 CFR 60 Sections 13 & 17, Performance Specifications PS-1 & PS-11 and has ASTM recognition – making it the first choice for dust compliance monitoring applications anywhere in the world.

Premier Dust Monitor gains new MCerts Approval
The LAND Model 4500 Premier dust emissions monitor has been granted MCerts approval for Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMs) by the UK Environment Agency. The 4500 Premier now carries all major international approvals including those from TÜV (Germany), meets USA EPA standards including CPS-001, 40 CFR 60 Sections 13 & 17, Performance Specifications PS-1 & PS-11 and has ASTM recognition - making it the first choice for dust compliance monitoring applications anywhere in the world.
MCerts testing was performed by the internationally recognised SIRA, and approved by the UK Environment Agency under their certification scheme. The 4500 Premier is suitable for a wide range of industrial applications where the need for flue dust emissions compliance monitoring is demanded. It can accurately measure dust concentrations within a range of 0 - 10 up to 0 - 4000 mg/m3. The 4500 Series of dust monitors are now firmly established worldwide as one of the major compliance products available, with in excess of 1000 instruments installed. This new approval adds to the growing list of approved products available from Land Instruments International, including a range of CEM products and zirconia oxygen probes.
