Continuous Sulphuric Acid Dewpoint Temperature Monitoring SystemIn order to maintain the operating efficiency of coal or oil-fired boilers, it is important to know that the temperature of the exhaust gas is above the sulphuric acid dewpoint temperature (ADT). If it is much higher than the sulphuric acid dewpoint temperature, then energy is wasted heating the gas and efficiency drops. Operating the boiler at temperatures below the sulphuric acid dewpoint temperature will result in the formation of sulphuric acid inside the boiler and particularly on the 'colder' parts of the plant. |
