Quality Assurance
In order to comply with today's demands of European led legislation of traceability in all aspects of Quality assurance, LAND have recognised the need to provide a quality backup service as well as quality products.
As a result of our commitment to quality, in 1989 we obtained BS EN ISO 9001 Quality Management System approval for the design and manufacture of measuring equipment. In 1992 this approval was extended to cover in-house repair and site servicing. Software development and products were added to the scope of approvals in 1996.
In 2002, LAND USA obtained ISO 9001 : 2000 approval for sales, engineering support, repair, calibration and certification services.

Quality Assurance
| 1989 | As a result of our commitment to deliver quality products, Land Infrared successfully gained approval to BS 5750: Part 1 / ISO 9001:1987 Quality Management Systems for the ‘Design and Manufacture of Non Contact Infrared Temperature Measuring Equipment’ from LRQA. |
| 1992 | To support the Land Infrared commitment to deliver quality services as well as products, our BS 5750: Part 1 / ISO 9001:1987 approval was extended to include ‘in-house repair and site servicing’ of Non Contact Infrared Temperature Measuring Equipment. In addition to this a BS 5750: Part 2 / ISO9002:1987 approval was also gained as a ‘Stockist of the Minolta/Land Cyclops and Compac Range of Portable Thermometers’. |
| 1995 | Land Infrared successfully upgraded it approvals to the latest ISO9001:1994 and ISO9002:1994 requirements. |
| 2000 | With the merger of Land Infrared and Land Combustion businesses, the Quality Management Systems of both companies were also merged into the new Land Instruments International Limited ISO9001:1994 approval with the new scope of ‘Design, manufacture, in-house repair and site servicing of combustion, environmental and non-contact temperature measuring instrumentation’. |
| 2001 | Land Instruments successfully upgraded to the new requirements of ISO9001:2000. |
| 2003 | A certificate renewal is successfully achieved for ISO9001:2000. |
| 2007 | A certificate renewal is successfully achieved for ISO9001:2000. |
| 2010 | With the latest update to the requirements of ISO9001 in 2008 Land Instruments again successfully upgrades its ISO9001 approval with LRQA and Land’s Quality Management Systems celebrates its 21st Birthday! |
Land in the USA
| 2002 | LAND USA obtained ISO 9001:2000 approval for ‘Sales, Engineering Support, Repair, Calibration and Certification Services’. |
| 2006 | Land is purchased by Ametek Inc, with this the Land USA approvals were superseded by the Ametek ISO9001:2000 NSAI approval for ‘The design, manufacture and service of gas and liquid process instruments and instruments systems for industrial and laboratory applications’ |
| 2010 | AMETEK (inc. Land) were re-assessed and successfully renewed its NSAI Certificate of Registration for IS EN ISO 9001:2000. |
