The ABT can be used with the new Landmark Graphic AE Processor for displaying a 'snap shot' of the temperature profile of aluminium billets prior to extrusion.
The Landmark Graphic AE processor is capable of capturing up to 150 data points from the ABT thermometer in 10ms increments from between 10 to 600ms, when a user adjustable threshold value is exceeded.

These data can then be displayed, as a profile of billet temperature, on the Snap Shot front panel in a graphical form.
The processor automatically calculates the temperature taper of the billet as a differential at two user defined cursor positions.
